Did anyone else hear that noise from the sky the other day? It sounded kind of like a ship of some kind. But when I looked out my window, I didn't really see anything.

Then again, that bank of clouds didn't look that natural...

I think it was heading towards the outskirts, maybe the wilderness. Let's just pray to the spirits that whatever it is, it's not some trick of the City.

If only it was the Normandy. Shepard... Jane... I wish you were here.

[OOC: No Inner Monologue day. Also, yes he is talking about Lockdown's ship landing in the City.]

It was some kind of ship. I haven’t had the time to go and find out exactly what is was though.

The Normandy… is your ship?

Given how big the wilderness is, it could be anywhere. Then again, how hard would it be to spot it?

Yeah, it's... Wait a second, I didn't mention the Normandy.

Finding something as large as a ship should be easy.

[Then again… he cheats. ]

You didn’t…? But, how can I…

[Maybe it’s like Lantis… ]

Are you telepathic?

Group indoctrination…?
I don’t think that is what is happening!

That ship... what if it's a Reaper?

No, no, it sounded too small, and the noise it made wasn't Reaper-ish.

What is a Reaper ship… ?
The only reapers I have meant collect souls…

They're a race of ancient, sentient machines who live on the very outskirts of the galaxy. They can also brainwash people into their slaves just by being around them.

More sentient machines…? I am currently speaking to someone who looks like a small mecha.

You're doing what? A small mecha? How did I miss this?

[Takes a moment to flip through the Network until he comes across the memory involving the robot.]

How... interesting. A Reaper larvae? It can't be, it's too small. Still...

It’s a little small for any mecha I have ever seen before too… And that ability it… he… has to transform himself into one of those primitive cars. It’s really interesting.

Are ‘Reapers’ able to do things like that?

We sure don't get robots like that in my world. And no, Reapers can't do that.

Hm, I wonder if he's the owner of that ship I heard land in the woods. Guess this dimension forced him to make an emergency landing.

He is. He just confirmed as much.

That should be good news, at least he isn’t one of those ‘reaper’ creatures you were so concerned over.

From: [identity profile] officer-garrus.livejournal.com
Not originally. It's kind of a long story.

Basically, it's a human vessel, but me and a few other aliens got brought on board so we could fight at Commander Shepard's side during a mission two years ago. The mission was to bring in a rogue Spectre, Saren, and in the process we found out about the Reapers. After that was over, the Normandy got destroyed, but a shadow organization, Cerberus, rebuilt it and gave us a new mission. Now that that's over, we're just trying to prepare ourselves for when the Reapers reach the galaxy. At least, that's what we were doing before I got stuck here.

You were trying to prevent an invasion of your galaxy by these ‘Reapers’?

Exactly. We stopped them from taking the fast route both times, but now they're just taking the slow but sure route.

If you can delay them long enough the momentum of their invasion might falter. If you don’t have a strong enough force to expel them completely?
